Terms of Service
These terms explain the agreement between you and Bink Technologies Ltd when you use the Bink service. We've kept them as clear as possible. If something doesn't make sense, email us at hello@bink.com.
1. What Bink is
Bink is a personal document management service. When you create an account, you receive a Bink email address (for example, yourname@bink.com). You give this address to every company, provider, GP, and institution that sends you important documents.
When a document arrives at your Bink address, we:
- Classify it automatically using AI (insurance, utilities, financial, medical, etc.)
- Extract key information — policy numbers, renewal dates, amounts, contact details
- File it in your personal dashboard, organised by category
- Add upcoming renewal and expiry dates to your calendar
Bink is a tool for you, not for your providers. We work for you.
2. What you agree to
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Use Bink only for lawful personal document management
- Give your Bink address only to legitimate providers sending genuine correspondence
- Keep your login credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
You may not use Bink on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent.
3. What we agree to
- Receive and file documents sent to your Bink address as accurately as we can
- Never share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes
- Give you the tools to view, export, and delete your data
- Maintain the service with reasonable uptime (we aim for 99.5% monthly)
- Notify you of any changes to these terms at least 30 days before they take effect
- Handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy
4. The Bink Switching Rule
Bink will never accept payment from any insurance company, utility provider, financial institution, or any other third party to influence how your documents are presented, filed, prioritised, or ranked.
This principle is written into our articles of association. It is a constitutional commitment, not a policy that can be changed by a future management decision.
Bink earns money exclusively from user subscriptions. Your dashboard shows your documents based on what you've received — not on who is paying us. We have no commercial relationship with any of your providers.
If we ever identify a better deal on your insurance or utility, we may surface that information as an alert — but only because the data suggests it might be in your interest, never because we have been paid to do so.
5. Data handling
A full description of what we collect, why, and for how long is in our Privacy Policy.
In summary: we hold only what is necessary to deliver the service. We don't sell your data. We don't profile you for advertising. Your documents are yours.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancelling: You may cancel your Bink account at any time from your account settings (coming soon) or by emailing hello@bink.com.
Monthly plans: Cancel before your next renewal date and you will not be charged again. No refund is issued for the current billing period.
Annual plans: If you cancel within the first 30 days, you receive a full refund. After 30 days, we will issue a pro-rata refund for unused complete months remaining.
Data retention after cancellation: Your data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account closure. You can request immediate deletion by contacting privacy@bink.com.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
Bink Technologies Ltd is incorporated in England and Wales.
